John PillowWith his background, John thrives on being able to effectively operate in a hands-on manner. His experience has also given him the opportunity to work with both small and large companies with limited layers of support. With change management orientation, he has a proven track record of leading cultural change and identifying where a business should be positioned to create and/or enhance value for the future.
John is a strategic and analytical leader who continually strives for improvement of business processes and people performance. He is responsible for running marketing operations in and forming joint ventures with affiliated businesses and industries in the United States, Canada, India, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.
John holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Texas. He studied pre-law at the University of Texas, and he completed the Master Hotel Supplier from the Educational Institute.
Being an active and contributing member of his community is important to John. He currently belongs to the Plano Chamber of Commerce and serves on their Public Policy Committee. He has been a member of the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Technology Business Council Committee, the International Business Development Committee, the Government Relations Committee and vice president of his home owners association and president of his local PTA.
In the past, he has served on the Texas Apartment Association of Legislative Affairs Committee as well as in the National Apartment Association, served as a representative to Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), has been a member of the National Speakers Association, has served as Co-Chairman of the Cliff House (a juvenile home), has served as president of the Lions Club, and has served as vice president of the DeSoto Chamber of Commerce and the Texas Jaycees.
Additionally, John has sat on the Central Highway Committee for Dallas County and has been a volunteer on the Plano Suicide Hot Line.
